As much as 585 foreign students from 43 countries are studying in Kanazawa University as of May 1, 2017, and regions, of whom, 19 regular students, 2 research students, and 2 special research students are enrolled in the graduate school of Letters, and 5 regular students, and 4 special research students are enrolled in the Faculty of Letters. As of today, the following 234 foreign sister schools (in 44 countries and 1 region) have made interuniversity exchange agreements with Kanazawa University.
